Isaiah 62:6- I have set Watchmen on your walls, O Jerusalem; They shall never hold their peace day or night.

Nehemiah 4:9-…because of them we set a watch against them day and night.

Nehemiah 4:17-19- ¹⁷Those who built on the wall, and those who carries burdens, loaded themselves so that with one hand they worked at construction, and with the other hand held a weapon.  ¹⁸Everyone of the builders had his sword girded at his side as he built.  And the one who sounded the trumpet was beside me. 

Romans 13:4- For he is God’s minister to you for good.  But if you do evil, be afraid; for he does not bear the sword in vain; for he is God’s minister, an avenger to execute wrath on him who practices evil.

Chronicles 9:21-24- ²¹Zechariah son of Meshelemiah was the gatekeeper at the entrance to the Tent of Meeting. ²²Altogether, those chosen to be gatekeepers at the thresholds numbered 212. They were registered by genealogy in their villages. The gatekeepers had been assigned to their positions of trust by David and Samuel the seer. ²³They and their descendants were in charge of guarding the gates of the house of the LORD–the house called the Tent. ²⁴The gatekeepers were on the four sides: east, west, north and south.

Judges 7:21- And every man stood in his place [Gideon’s 300] all around the camp; and the whole army [Midianites] ran and cried out and fled.

Psalm 127:1- Unless the Lord builds the house, they labor in vain who build it; unless the Lord guards the city, the Watchmen stays awake in vain.
